All in Jest, a Kentucky-bred filly, was foaled on January 20, 2019 and bred by Stuart S. Janney III, LLC. She is a chestnut Thoroughbred with an impressive lineage, being sired by Mastery (KY) with $511,200 in race earnings and out of the mare All in Fun with $311,480 in race earnings, who is by Tapit (foaled February 27, 2001, in Kentucky). Tapit is an American Thoroughbred racehorse who has emerged as one of the most influential and breed-shaping stallions of the past half-century. America’s most dominant sire, Tapit has sired 31 Grade 1 winners, 33 yearlings to bring $1 million or more at auction, and earners of over $199 million on the racetrack for the most progeny earnings of any North American sire ever. Tapit won three of his six races, including the Wood Memorial Stakes, then a Grade I event. He was an immediate success after retiring to stud, becoming the leading freshman sire in North America of 2008 with Breeders’ Cup winner Stardom Bound becoming his first Grade I winner. He was the leading sire in North America in 2014, setting an earnings record that he broke in 2015 and again in 2016. For the 2015 season, his stud fee was raised to $300,000, the highest in North America. In 2021, Essential Quality became his fourth Belmont Stakes winner (TonalistCreator and Tapwrit being the others), tying him for the all-time record of winners sired in this race with the great Lexington.

Most recently, at Charles Town, All In Jest exhibited her speed and determination, finishing 6th with a speed figure of 53 in a 7-furlong dirt race.
